About the Journal:

The Journal of Plant Physiology and Breeding (J Plant Physiol Breed) is a prominent publication in the field of phytophysiology and plant breeding, published by the University of Tabriz. It is a peer-reviewed open-access international journal in English, which publishes original research studies covering various facets of plant physiology and breeding, including photosynthesis and respiration, growth and development, transport and translocation, metabolism, reproduction, biotechnology, genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, genetics, cytogenetics, genetic engineering, tissue culture, breeding for resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses and for other traits, cultivar development, etc. Theoretical articles, reviews, and descriptions of innovative methods and instruments are also featured.

The J Plant Physiol Breed, as an interdisciplinary and a broad-spectrum journal, welcomes high-quality manuscripts on the most recent issues and developments in the field, considering the research ethics and academic rules. All manuscripts are subject to a double-blind reviewing process to determine originality, validity, significance, and scientific value of the submitted material. Submitted manuscripts are peer reviewed by members of the Editorial Board or other experts chosen by the Editor. The Editor-in-Chief of the journal is responsible for final editing, decisions regarding acceptance, revisions, and rejection.

Submission of a manuscript to the Journal is taken as evidence that no portion of the text, tables, or figures has been copyrighted, published, or submitted for publication elsewhere, unless information regarding previous publication is cited and permission obtained. A copy of any such permissions obtained must accompany the manuscript. 

The editorial board is highly interested in publishing research from all countries. Researchers are highly appreciated if they visit the website (https://breeding.tabrizu.ac.ir), register, submit, and set up their manuscripts based on the Guide for Authors. Therefore, visiting in person or calling the journal office is not recommended, so all connections with authors and reviewers are made through the website.
